Spaces shape stories.

The portraits I most love are never just about the person – they’re also about their relationship with the space they inhabit.

I’m often commissioned to shoot people in environments that are relevant to them. Sometimes it’s a ship’s deck, sometimes a beautiful interior, sometimes there’s amazing art…

That was the case when I photographed the visual artist representative and spokesperson, Marine Tanguy. As well as being a lovely person, she has an incredible collection of art - both at work and at home.

That’s what I enjoy about environmental portraiture: the dialogue between person and place.

Another reason I’m so grateful to do what I do.
